Dirk Nowitzki's Girlfriend, Cristal Taylor, Arrested at His Home on Probation Violation

By all accounts the Dallas Maverick's Dirk Nowitzki seems like a pretty good guy. Maybe TOO nice a guy, as we're reading stories about the arrest of his girlfriend, possibly his fiancee, Cristal Taylor. And, unfortunately for Nowitzki, the list of problems this woman has is not a short one:

- Taylor, 37, is actually 8 to 10 years older than Nowitzki thought she was (he's only 30)

- She has a problem remembering her own name, reportedly using a whole slew of aliases over the years including: Crystal Ann Taylor, Christian Julie Wellington, Christian B. Travino, Crystal Nobles, Christy Nobles, Kristi Briana Westerhauf, Cristal Taylor Westerhaus, Christa A. Westerhays, Deborah Jackson, Shana Mancini, Crista Santiago, Crystal Ann Santiago, Crystall Ann Taylor and Kristin L. Rogers.

- Taylor (or whatever her name is) allegedly has a history of financial crimes and numerous identities that dates back at least a decade and spans two states, records and interviews show.

Now, some sources are also claiming that Taylor is also pregnant with Nowitzki's child. Stay tuned.

Former NBA Player Arrested for Beating Neighbor

This is a strange story and I'm sure we're going to hear more about it at some point, but for now, we have one former NBA player in jail and his neighbor a little bruised. Here's more from Cincinnati.com:
Kirk Snyder, 25, a former Minnesota Timberwolves player, was arrested early Monday after Warren County sheriff’s officials said he broke into a neighbor’s home in the 5300 block of Commonwealth Drive in Deerfield Township around 3:40 a.m. and attacked the man while he was sleeping.

He is due to appear for arraignment on charges of aggravated burglary and felonious assault 9 a.m. Tuesday in Mason Municipal Court. A female resident told investigators she was awakened by the sound of glass breaking downstairs.

When she got up to investigate, a tall assailant pushed her aside and ran to the upstairs bedroom where he began to beat her sleeping husband, authorities said. The woman said she was able to pull the hood off the suspect’s head. The man ran out the same back door he broken in. A police canine and other information led deputies to Snyder’s nearby residence. He was taken into custody within minutes of the attack.

Former Cincinnati Bearcat, NBA Player, Caught With 11 lbs of Weed - Corie Blount

Sometimes jocks get caught with a little bit of "smoking weed." Just enough to roll a joint or two. But not former UC and Lakers star Corie Blount: unless he is going to roll up the mother of all fatties, that 11 pounds of marijuana he was caught with is likely meant for sale to someone else . . . at least the cops think so. Here's more from WCPO:

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says the marijuana came from out of state and was scheduled to be delivered by the United States Postal Service to an address in Liberty Township. The sheriff's office says Blount arrived at a Liberty Township residence to retrieve the package. Authorities then followed Blount to his residence where he was arrested.

Search warrants were executed at Blount's residence where a second package was discovered, similar to the one he picked up earlier. Authorities say that package contained around 11 pounds of marijuana and a third package located contained approximately seven pounds of marijuana.

Authorities confiscated 29 pounds of marijuana, $29,500 in cash, a 1996 Mercedes Benz, a 2004 Cadillac Escalade, a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, and three guns.
