Former Jock Retains Form With Help From Idiot Proof Diet
This review of Fat Loss 4 Idiots (aka The Idiot Proof Diet) comes to us from Michael in St. Louis:
I'm a 60 year old high school teacher from St. Louis. I'm a jock and have played handball and racquetball for the past 40 years. I also love golf (walking always and carrying my clubs), swimming, step aerobics, and power walks. My athleticism allowed me to be active even as I became terribly obese in my 40s and 50s, but was taking a toll on joints, muscles, etc.
I decided about 2 and 1/2 years ago to change my ways. I initially lost 140 pounds over about 18 months. I didn't like the way I looked (all the old stretched skin, etc.) and so gained back about 30 pounds. Then I faced myself again and realized how it was really backsliding, and I absolutely did not want to do that. So I glommed on to Diet for Idiots (I read everything out there about nutrition/weight control/health, etc.) and tried it.
The results were as I reported—wonderfully satisfactory. I am now committed to eating four or five times a day—small portions of healthy food, and forever maintaining my weight loss. (And it's so much fun to be winning those handball and racquetball games again, even against some younger opponents.)
