Is "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" a Scam? A Review of The Idiot Proof Diet

Is "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" a Scam? There are a couple of ways to answer that question.
First, can it be a scam if the website exists? In this case Fat Loss 4 Idiots does exist and appears to be operational, so in that sense it is not a scam. Second, it could be a scam if the website takes your money, but does not give you anything in return . . . like my ex-wife (I'm joking!). In this case, I would also have to say that is not a scam because payment portion of the site is operated by ClickBank.com, a reputable online clearing house for e-books and online subscription services. ClickBank offers a 45 day money-back guarantee on ALL of it's products and had been doing so for years. It would not take payments for an operation that was a scam or that would not compensate unhappy customers.
Third, when we say "scam" do you really mean "does it work?" As in, "if I follow the guidelines offered by the Fat Loss 4 Idiots (also known as The Idiot Proof Diet, in case you didn't already know) will I finally lose weight?" From the reviews I've read, both professional and from actual customers (see reviews below), it does appear that MOST people lose weight on Fat Loss 4 Idiots, some even more than the 9 lbs in 11 days that it claims, which seems like a dream come true.
How does this diet work? By creating a calorie shifting menu for you. That's right: when you pay for Fat Loss 4 Idiots you not only get a 45-page Handbook containing basic rules of calorie shifting, how to spot and eat foods that burn more fat and how to eat out and still lose weight. Why Saying No to Foods May Be Harder for Women

Ladies: Does it seem like it's always easier for the man in your life to lose weight when both of you go on a diet? Well, new brain research suggests that women unconsciously have a tougher time resisting their favorite foods than men do. Here's more from the Washington Post:

"This gives us another piece to put into this puzzle," said Dr. Gene-Jack Wang, the study's author, who speculated that women may have more trouble saying no to food because they sometimes have to eat for two.

"Maybe evolution leads them to this because of their important mission to have a baby," said Wang, a senior scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory and professor of psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

According to Wang, the new study aimed to understand why some people don't stop eating when they're full. Your body tells you that you've eaten enough by sending a signal to your brain from the gut, he explained, "but if you go to the buffet, sometimes you just cannot stop."

This wasn't a big problem throughout history because people rarely had a chance to eat more than they needed, Wang said. But modern society has changed that, he said, especially over the past 30 to 40 years as obesity has become much more common in the United States.

For the study, which appears in this week's issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the researchers asked 13 women and 10 men about their favorite foods. The participants said they liked a variety of dishes and desserts, including lasagna, pizza, brownies, ice cream and fried chicken.
