This is the greatest diet of all time!!! I'm 62 years old and a self-styled student of nutrition for many years and this is the easiest, best diet on this planet or any other. You have to try it to believe it. There are so many reasons it's wonderful it would take a long time to enumerate them. The most important thing is to drink the water because it's a high protein diet.It's nothing like those high fat diets that kill you or worse.

The best part is picking your own food and, even better, is knowing you will not be deprived of the things you love for five years or however long it would take you to reach your desired weight. Every 11 days you can eat anything, for 3 days, and the psychological effect is not to be believed. I have lost over 20 pounds in roughly three months.

Believe me, there is nothing like it and you won't believe it until you try it. I got a friend to try it and she immediately lost 9 lbs and is as rabid over it as I am. Within three months I have thrown out 90% of my wardrobe and started over, having lost two (count 'em) sizes. I could go on and on and on. My sugar craving has disappeared and I am NEVER hungry.

If you've struggled with weight loss all your life, do yourself a favor and commit to this diet. You will be amazed. 'Nuff said.

New Idiot Proof Diet Review: "Best $27 I Ever Spent"

I will say that when I came across this diet online I was and had pretty much given up on any hopes of loosing weight. I was just going to accept the fact that I was going to be fat the rest of my life. The name "Idiot Proof Diet" caught my attention so I read what it had to say and paid my $27.00. (Editor's Note: At the time this review was written, the cost of the Idiot Proof Diet was $27. It is currently $39, but still a tremendous value!) The best $27.00 I've ever spent. I started the diet on March 28, 2005 and by that friday April 1 I had already lost 8 lbs. I really like that I dont have to measure anything, or count calories at all.

I will say that time has passed I dont eat such large portions. And at times its hard to get all 4 meals in a day! Maybe the first week or so I did feel a bit light headed, but my body was missing all the bad foods, pizza, candy pop.. oh the list goes on! I have noticed that now food is not my main concern of the day, im not obsessed with it as I was before. Im not as tired, im sure because Ive now lost 51 lbs, dont get heart burn any more, and have had no problems with my gallbladder. And also my cholesterol has gone from 188 to 161. I agree with the 10 glasses of water a day, if I dont I feel it the next day.

My skin has cleared up and wow my nails have gotten much stronger and long. Thats never happened before. As you can tell I have nothing bad to say about this diet! I was wearing a sz 18-20 and now I just bought size 12, its been years since i've been in that size!!!! I still have about 30 more lbs to loose, but have no doubt that I will loose it with this diet!

I have dieted in the past and allways gained the weight back because I also lost strength. Following this diet for the last two months I have lost fifty pounds, have gotten rid of my blood pressure meds at my doctors orders,and have increased the amount of weight I can lift. I feel great all day, every day with energy to spare and still sleep like a baby at night.something I have not done for years.
The diet has also taught me good eating habits so that on its free days I have a hard time trying to change back to My old habits.

I'm Jennifer and I'm responding to your request for reviews of this diet. Here's my story. I lost 40 pounds on this diet in August & September '05 and have kept it off (just lost the holiday pounds).
Here are some more tangible benefits I've experienced:
1) I'm wearing clothes I've had to dig out of my 'skinny stuff' storage bins,
2) my blood pressure has dropped back into the normal range (it was about 150/92 and has now dropped to 118/78 - my doctor's thrilled),
3) I just passed out of the BMI 'obesity' range into 'overweight, and
4) I have more energy that I've had in years. The diet itself was extremely simple, it really is idiot-proof.

The only hard part is making yourself stick to it, but that's more of a mind-set problem than anything else. I'd reached the point of being absolutely fed up (pun intended) with being fat and decided I wasn't going to spend my 20's overweight. That's what kept me on this diet and ultimately what made it work for me. There are also some mental tricks I used, such as looking at the floor as I grocery shop until I come to the exact item I need (you've got to know your store, of course). And I save my eating out for my three 'off' days - I've saved at least $20/week not eating lunches out. But knowing you have that break sooner rather than later is a great mental boost.

There are other diets I like and have had moderate success on, but this is the only one I've ever found that causes significant weight loss (and the benefits that come with it) in a short period of time. But be prepared - this is not for the faint of heart. If you want this to work, get rid of the junk food in your house, be prepared to make two dinners for yourself and your family, plan to be around restrooms regularly (you've got to drink ALL the water it tells you to), and don't plan nights out on the town unless it falls on an 'off' day. And on that note, I'd highly suggest a Monday start, as this would time your 'off' days for the following Fri/Sat/Sun.

Today I start my 3rd 11days and the success has been exciting and phenomenal to say the least. I feel great, sleep better and have no sugar cravings...which is unbelievable for me. Why Belly Fat Causes Heart Disease

Think your "spare tire" is just something you have to try to hide by the way you dress? Wrong! Scientists are learning that belly fat is much more dangerous that previously thought. Here's more from Ivanhoe.com:
A new study from the University of Michigan looked at belly fat -- also known as visceral fat -- in mice. It finds a link between inflammation around the cells of visceral fat deposits and the artery-hardening process of atherosclerosis.
Results also show a widely used diabetes drug can ease that inflammation and protect against further damage to the arteries.
Researchers looked at ApoE-negative mice -- developed to be especially prone to high cholesterol and hardened arteries. The mice were divided into three groups -- two got fat transplants from normal mice; one did not, but had the same operation that would be used to implant the fat in other mice. Some mice got visceral fat transplants, which forms around the major organs; others got transplants of subcutaneous fat, found just under the skin throughout the body.
The study found the mice that received the visceral fat transplants developed atherosclerosis at a much faster rate. Those with subcutaneous fat did not have an increase in atherosclerosis even though they had increased inflammation. And the mice that had the “sham” operations did not develop inflammation or increased atherosclerosis.
