Is The Idiot Proof Diet a Scam? An Honest Review of The Idiot Proof Diet

Is "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" (aka the 11 Day Diet) a Scam? There are a couple of ways to answer that question.

First, can it be a scam if the website exists? In this case Fat Loss 4 Idiots (aka The Idiot Proof Diet) does exist and appears to be operational, so in that sense it is not a scam. Second, it could be a scam if the website takes your money, but does not give you anything in return . . . like my ex-wife (I'm joking!). In this case, I would also have to say that is not a scam because payment portion of the site is operated by, a reputable online clearing house for e-books and online subscription services. ClickBank offers a 45 day money-back guarantee on ALL of it's products and had been doing so for years. It would not take payments for an operation that was a scam or that would not compensate unhappy customers.

Third, when we say "scam" do you really mean "does it work?" As in, "if I follow the guidelines offered by the Fat Loss 4 Idiots (also known as The Idiot Proof Diet, in case you didn't already know) will I finally lose weight?" From the reviews I've read, both professional and from actual customers (see reviews below), it does appear that MOST people lose weight on Fat Loss 4 Idiots, some even more than the 9 lbs in 11 days that it claims, which seems like a dream come true.

How does this diet work? By creating a calorie shifting menu for you. That's right: when you pay for Fat Loss 4 Idiots you not only get a 45-page Handbook containing basic rules of calorie shifting, how to spot and eat foods that burn more fat and how to eat out and still lose weight. Did Doctor Oz Really Endorse the "Idiot Proof Diet" to Lose 9 lbs in a Week?

On the Doctor Oz show on February 3, 2012 episode of his show, Doctor Mehmet Oz introduced his "Fat-urday" diet concept. What is a Fat-urday? According to Dr. Oz, it's a day to go off your regular diet and consume more calories so that your body's metabolism "resets." That is, if you are consuming say 1500 calories a day, your body gets used to that, thinks you're in starvation mode (something that helped our ancestors survive periods of drought and famine) and you begin to burn less fuel to survive.  That's why it can be so hard to lose weight after several weeks of strict dieting. It's not you! It's your body's inner settings that fight against you. So Dr. Oz's suggestion is to give yourself a day to splurge (okay, not go on a bender) where you can consume say 2500 calories in a day. That tells your body the "famine" is over, and according to the show, your body will release the fat it's been holding on to during that period. Sound familiar?

To those of you who have used the Idiot Proof Diet (aka Fat Loss 4 Idiots) the answer should be a resounding "Yes!" This diet is also known as the "11 Day Diet" because after following it's computer generated, easy to follow, menu for 11 days, you get three days off to eat ANYTHING. Review of The Idiot Proof Diet: ""With the Idiot Proof Diet, I Don't Have Cravings""

I bought the Idiot Proof Diet last year because I was curious about the plan. My co-workers decided to have a weight loss contest...$20 for 20 pounds. The first one to lose 20 pounds would win all of the money. I had already had the diet for a few weeks, but hadn't tried it yet. On March 28th 2005 we started the contest and I started the diet. I lost 13 pounds the first 11 days....then gained 4 over my 3 day cheat. I ended up winning the contest only after 5 weeks of being on this diet. Once I had won I decided to give the diet a break and I haven't gained a pound back.

I did lose 12 more pounds on my own, but now I can't seem to lose anymore. I started the diet back today and plan to stay on until I lose 30 more pounds. This diet is well worth the $27.00! I have bought so many "miracle diets" and this one is the only one that really works. I did try the sunslim diet and it works too, but I was craving carbs like crazy. "The Easiest, Most Tasty Way, I Have Ever Lost Weight!

I only wish I received a commission for every person I have turned onto this diet. It is the easiest most tasty way I have ever lost weight.

I was desperate....I was going to try the diet that gets delivered to your door each day. But I figured how was I ever going to "learn" to eat right again if I wasn't cooking and thinking for my self. (was on low carb successfully for over 4 years but it became dull and boring... I missed fruits and to be honest breads). Then I went to Jenny Craig for the weigh in... What a shock I was fat! Not just chunky but really fat. I had not realized I had put on a solid 28 lbs. over the past year. Jenny Craig would have probably worked but again I would still need to go shopping for supplemental food and I would not be cooking and preparing for my self.

So back to the delivered meals. Well in my Internet search somehow dieting for idiots came up. $38.00 sure seemed like a good deal, not even a day worth of delivery diet and what if it actually worked. I plunked down my credit card and began to play with the diet. There were a few dinners that were already planned and I could not miss. What was wonderful though was that I could keep playing with the diet until those pre-planned days matched up with my schedule.

Well it was a bit difficult the first few days getting up earlier to plan out my menu and put together my lunch but after the first 8 days I was already seeing fabulous results. By the time day 11 came I had lost 8 lbs. I went off for 3 days (enjoyed myself but did not go overboard) and resumed on Tuesday. I like to have Saturday, Sunday and Monday's off. By the end of my second rotation I had lost a total of 16 lbs. I began on January 2nd and by mid February I had lost a total of 23 lbs. Mind you there were free weekends that were total disasters (+5 lb. weekends), but if I go right back on the diet those lbs. come right off and so do more. The most difficult part of this diet is getting all that water in me.

I am so so very happy with this plan. The best part is it's easy, put on paper for you and can intertwine with anyone's lifestyle. It works!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck to all that try and if you don't succeed its because you 1-did not drink the water, 2-did not eat all 4 meals and or 3-didn't really follow the idiot proof plan.

Grandmother, 79, Reports Huge Success on Idiot Proof Diet

It's just a year since I started the Idiot Proof Diet - at 79.

I thought it would be hopeless to start yet another diet! Every 14 days I have printed out my diet sheet, each one headed with my weight. In June, 2008 I recorded 16 stone and 4 pounds (Editor - Approximately 228 lbs). Today - as I print the next sheet for what has become a 'keep healthy' life style - I shall record 13 stone and 13 pounds (Approximately 195 lbs) only a few pounds more than when I had a young family of four, this is despite being unable to be very active physically for medical reasons- and I no longer have to cope with food allergies.

Weight loss is slower now and I do step outside the basic diet for family parties and meals out, but I use my diet sheet to place my supermarket delivery every fortnight. I find I no longer crave some foods - which helps!!

This is not a diet for Idiots - it is a diet for people who have failed to lose weight with diets unsuitable for their lifestyle - be it in retirement, a busy working mother or a young person getting rid of fast food habits. But the name did tempt me to start.

I'm Jennifer and I'm responding to your request for reviews of this diet. Here's my story. I lost 40 pounds on this diet in August & September and have kept it off (just lost the holiday pounds).
Here are some more tangible benefits I've experienced:
1) I'm wearing clothes I've had to dig out of my 'skinny stuff' storage bins,
2) my blood pressure has dropped back into the normal range (it was about 150/92 and has now dropped to 118/78 - my doctor's thrilled),
3) I just passed out of the BMI 'obesity' range into 'overweight, and
4) I have more energy that I've had in years. The diet itself was extremely simple, it really is idiot-proof.

The only hard part is making yourself stick to it, but that's more of a mind-set problem than anything else. I'd reached the point of being absolutely fed up (pun intended) with being fat and decided I wasn't going to spend my 20's overweight. That's what kept me on this diet and ultimately what made it work for me. There are also some mental tricks I used, such as looking at the floor as I grocery shop until I come to the exact item I need (you've got to know your store, of course). And I save my eating out for my three 'off' days - I've saved at least $20/week not eating lunches out. But knowing you have that break sooner rather than later is a great mental boost.

There are other diets I like and have had moderate success on, but this is the only one I've ever found that causes significant weight loss (and the benefits that come with it) in a short period of time. But be prepared - this is not for the faint of heart. If you want this to work, get rid of the junk food in your house, be prepared to make two dinners for yourself and your family, plan to be around restrooms regularly (you've got to drink ALL the water it tells you to), and don't plan nights out on the town unless it falls on an 'off' day. And on that note, I'd highly suggest a Monday start, as this would time your 'off' days for the following Fri/Sat/Sun.

Idiot Proof Diet Review: "I LOVE This Diet!"

After hitting 31, losing even ONE pound became an impossible task. None of my old "tricks" worked and I just seemed to be packing on extra weight even after starving myself for days at a time. I am currently on my 8th day in the 2nd 11 day period. as of today I have lost 15lbs overall. Woman Says "I Have Never Seen Weight Come Off So Quickly!" Idiot Proof Diet

Hi I just wanted to share my review of this diet: I bought this diet about a month ago and was at a starting weight of 137 and I have got to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I would recommend it to anyone and I have to some of my friends. I am currently at 123 lbs for a total of 14 lbs lost (would have been more but I caved a few times), and it took a month to get to that and I am still currently following this diet.
My only word of warning is if you have no control over eating it is not the diet for you, you have to eat exactly as they say otherwise it will not work (trust me I tried to cheat a few times with negative results). I also workout every day so that may help, but I have never seen weight come off so quickly with many of the other diets around. People have said that it is bad because of low carb blah blah blah, but they do give you carbs to eat just not as much of the starchy ones which are not as good for you anyways. I could go on and on about it but really you just need to try it for yourself it works.
