Monday, April 27, 2009High School Sued Over Cheerleader Tryouts You know it's spring time in Texas when the blue bonnets are in bloom and the parents of high school girls are suing school districts over cheerleading tryouts.
Football is serious business in the Lone Star State and so is cheerleading. Typically, if we hear of a naughty cheerleader incident, we usually assume it took place in Texas . . . and most times we're right. The latest? HS girl Savannah Payne, 17, missed too many days of school and is given an in-school suspension, meaning she can't try out for cheerleading her senior year. Horrors! Savannah's mom, Lisa Halbert, now says she missed those days because of illness (no doctor's notes) and has sued the Whitney Independent School District to stop the cheerleading tryouts early in April. Not surprisingly, others at the school are not happy with little Savannah and have threatened to damage her car.

Tuesday, April 21, 2009Teacher Resigns After Taking Cheerleaderes to Gay Strip Club Was that wrong of him? Really? Sounds like kind of a gray area . . . like a common mistake that ANY of us could make. Taking high school girls to a gay strip club? What's the big deal? The good news: all the "victims" were HS Cheerleaders, raising our Naughty Cheerleader count for the year to a more normal level.
Here's more from Cincinnati.com:A Butler Tech teacher resigned Thursday after being investigated by the Butler County career school for allegedly taking four Edgewood High School students to a male, gay strip bar in Dayton in February. Bill Solazzo, spokesman for Butler Tech, said 47-year-old Lori Epperson took four female students - ages 17 and 18 -- to the strip bar.
Solazzo said Butler Tech officials learned of allegations about the incident earlier this month and placed Epperson, who teaches marketing for Butler Tech at Edgewood High School, on paid leave while it investigated. Epperson joined Butler Tech's teaching staff last year after receiving a provisional teaching license.
According to Solazzo, the girls -- all cheerleaders at Edgewood High School -- had approached the teacher about the strip club idea. The girls were students in Epperson's marketing class offered in the Edgewood schools through the Butler Tech program. Epperson also previously served as a coach for the district's eighth-grade cheerleaders.Labels: naughty cheerleaders, strip club
Sunday, April 12, 2009Tasered by Cops: Buffalo Bills DB Donte Whitner Hit With Stun Gun Outside Cleveland Bar What a shocking turn of events! No, not that Buffalo Bills defensive back Donte Whitner was tasered by cops. What we're talking about is the sudden decrease in Naughty Cheerleaders in 2009. So far only 2 incidents to report. Tasered by Cops? 3! Three incidents and it's only April. I think we had 8 all of last year, so at this pace would should pass that, but the real story is the complete lack of effort on the part of our young ladies out there. Where are the girls who get drunk at the basketball game? No new squad member hazings? We haven't even had our annual "Texas parents filing lawsuit because their daughter didn't make the team" story. It's really puzzling: either the girls have learned a lesson and are now living on the straight and narrow (doubtful) or the schools and local cops are covering for them (more likely.) So we're sending out a rarely used BadJocks Reader APB: find us some naughty cheerleaders! High school, college, the pros . . . doesn't matter.
We do want to be clear: we don't want our readers to intentionally entrap these girls or force them to do something wrong. But if you happen to hear of something, or come across even the most remotely related story in your local paper, let us know ASAP. You can leave tips in the comments section below or email us at BadJocks@Yahoo.com.
Oh, and it looks like Miami Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. was having a birthday party at teh House of Blues in downtown Cleveland when some kind of disturbance broke out in the parking lot. Cops were called and as they were trying to calm things down, Whitner tried to push his way past officers. They tried to arrest him, he allegedly tried to get away and they zapped him. The NFL rookie was taken to jail, but they're trying to decide if they want to press charges or not. (Fox 8)Labels: naughty cheerleaders, tasered by cops
Wednesday, March 11, 2009Cheerleader Stripper Pole Dad Hit With More Charges Things are going from bad to worse for Steven A. Russo, 36, the father of a Bethlehem, PA teen, accused of hosting underage drinking parties at his home and encouraging cheerleaders from Freedom High School to make use of the stripper pole in his basement.
Now comes word that Mr. Russo is facing additional charges of of a witness and criminal conspiracy. That's not good. No word on who exactly he was uh, "tampering" with, but it could be one of the girls involved or maybe the guy who installed the pole. Who knows?
He also has apparently lost custody of his 4-year-old son after the tot's maternal grandfather found Russo and the boy sitting in a running vehicle in a closed garage. The boy's mother thinks this was a suicide attempt on Russo's part and a judge has now ordered him to stay away from the boy. (Lehigh Valley Live)
And no, we still don't have any of the pictures of the HS cheerleaders actually making use of Mr. Russo's stripper pole . . . but we're still looking.Labels: naughty cheerleaders, stripper pole
Thursday, February 05, 2009Florida Teens Plead in YouTube Beating of CheerleaderWell, it's been almost 11 months but the Florida Cheerleader Video Beating case is finally over. You all remember this incident from March of 2008 (if not, watch the video below to refresh your memory) where six girls from Mulberry High School in Florida lured another girl, Victoria "Tori" Lindsay, to their home and then beat the crap out of her. The often brutal attack was put on video with the intention of posting it online as a deterrent to other girls who might mouth off to the "gang." We were never quite clear on this, but it appears that some, if not all of the girls were--or had been at one time--cheerleaders. Two boys were initially charged with aiding in the attack but the charges against them appear to have been dropped.
The last two of the six, plead guilty yesterday to charges related to the attack: April Cooper, 15, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor battery, while Kayla Hassall, 16, pleaded no contest to one count of battery. Last week, Brittini Hardcastle, 18, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and battery and last month Mercades Nichols plead to battery and tampering with a witness and faces up to three years of probation and 100 hours of community service. Brittany Mayes, 18, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to misdemeanor battery. Likely none of the girls will go to jail, not including the time they spent after their initial arrest last April.Labels: caught on tape, naughty cheerleaders
