Joey Strong, 35, of Ausable Forks, faces felony third-degree rape and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawful dealing with a child in connection with the alleged tryst, which police said took place at a Queensbury hotel in March, according to court documents obtained by WPTZ.com.Longtime Coach Faces Teen Sex Charges [WPTZ]
School principal Jean Pulsifer told WPTZ.com that the woman had coached girls basketball as a volunteer for eight years at the school, but also said she was not an employee at the school.
Pulsifer said in a statement, "The incident for which Mrs. Strong has been accused has nothing to do with her association with holy name school. during her time as a volunteer coach no policies were broken or infringed upon."
