Lawn Bowler Banned From Club for Six Months for StreakingIt's one thing to drunkenly streak in front of tens of thousands of strangers at a football or soccer game. Except for your equally drunken friends, you don't expect to run into any of those folks in the grocery store on a regular basis. You'd be lucky if they recognized you with your clothes on. But to streak at a private club where you're a regular member? How's that going to work the next time you waltz in: are some of the other members going to scream and run away, hoping you don't repeat yourself? Others may want to be your friend, just because they hope you'll do it again. Either way, I think things would be kinda awkward in the locker room, don't you?
Apparently, that didn't occur to one James "Run, Forrest, Run" Forrest, 37, of Darwin in Australia. Forrest apparently decided to streak the Nightcliff Sports Club--surprisingly not a nudist colony--on purpose and planned the whole thing out in advance! The lawn bowler--see picture at right--stripped in his car in the parking lot, left the motor running and ran through the playing area in nothing but a smile, doing a "star jump at the exit" . . . whatever that is. (No, I don't want to know, the mental picture is already horrific enough.) A few days later Forrest was shocked--shocked, I tell you!--to learn that his exploits had earned him a six month ban from the club. meaning he'd have to put his balls away for at least half year!One member called the six-month ban was "ridiculous" and went on to say that he thought the whole thing was "hilarious" adding, "He's got a great body and a great personality ... full of life - there's too many sour people nowadays."
