Rangers "Cheerleader" Files Sexual Harassment Suit Against Team
- Courtney Prince, a former captain of the City Skaters, the skating cheer squad
for the NHL's New York Rangers has reportedly filed discrimination charges — claiming the skaters' jobs were dependent on features such as breast size and weight.
UPDATE - Second Rangers cheerleader claims she and teammates felt "pressured" into
going out on the town with Madison Square Garden
executives. The unidentified current member of the squad charged that cheerleaders "as young as 18" were taken to bars by "older, married" MSG execs who would "engage in and initiate inappropriate behavior," including "sex talk and facilitating consumption of alcohol."
Use
of Steroids at HS Level Going Mainstream - It's not just linebackers who
are juicing up in high school anymore: districts across the US are struggling with rising steroid
use non-athletes who think bigger biceps will make them more popular. Let me be
the first to warn you: don't screw with the chess team.
When
Cheerleader's Mom's Attack! Judge orders the mother of a junior high school cheerleader into anger management classes after the woman admitted that she harassed the
cheerleading coach. And why, you might ask, did mom get so upset? The coach had
apparently disciplined Melissa Leach's daughter for skipping practices.
Not
This Sh*t Again? Officials from Glenbrook North High School have warned students they can't escape school rules by crossing state lines, after hearing that some are planning another "powder puff" gathering -- similar to last May's infamous hazing incident -- over prom weekend in Lake Geneva, Wis.
You
can still catch the video of last year's "festivities" here.
And
They Let This Kid Swing a Hockey Stick? A Michigan HS hockey player has been charged with
assault after hitting two opposing players AND a referee. Cops say that as the
teams were lining up to shake hands, 17-year-old Eric Apsey scratched one player in the face and hit another.
He then punched a referee in the mouth and forearm. BUT WAIT, IT GETS BETTER! School officials allowed Apsey to play in the game although he had been charged with
another assault just three weeks earlier.
Horse
Racing Owner Banned . . . For Betting Against His Own Horses? In a move
that even Pete Rose finds hard to believe, the former director of a London racing syndicate
has been banned from ownership for two years by the Jockey Club for betting against his own horses.
Kobe
Bryant's Accuser Makes First Court Appearance - The 19-year-old Colorado
woman who accused NBA star Kobe Bryant's of raping her last summer, was forced
to testified about her sex life for more than three hours Wednesday during a closed-door hearing.
Bryant's lawyers claim the woman's sexual history should be admitted into
evident because it would show that her injuries could have been caused by another sex partner and that she had a "scheme" to have sex with Bryant.
More stories about the case and photos of Kobe's accuser can be found on the BadJocks
Kobe Watch page.
#75! Assistant HS football coach/biology
teacher in Memphis is suspended after parents find 11th grader's diary detailing
her ongoing sexual activity with him. The coach says the charges against him are totally false and he wants parents and his students to know.
I don't know what it is about this one boys and girls, but something sounds very
wrong with this one. Stay tuned.
#74! Former Minnesota Little League baseball coach charged with possessing child pornography on his personal computer.
#73! This is a strange one . . . even by HS Coach Sex Scandal Standards! Volunteer HS bowling coach is under arrest for soliciting teenagers to engage in sexual
acts . . . and he likes to hit from both sides of the plate, if you know what I
mean. Members of the bowling team, including nine boys and three girls claim Michael Wurme would not stop
bothering them with emails and instant messages.
He went so far as to allegedly ask them to pose naked for videos and photos he said he wanted to sell on the Internet.
Bowling coach salary doesn't go as far as it used to?
Boozing
Coach - TCU women's basketball coach Jeff Mittie has been charged with
DUI. While his official BAC was an impressive .121%, it's not enough to
earn him a spot on the BadJocks BAC Rankings.
BadJocks
Update - School board member who alleged her daughter had been hazed by other members of the high school field hockey team, has
suddenly resigned from her post. The "hazing" incident that Mary Beth
Fraser complained about involved the purchase of some team warm-up pants by her
daughter. After placing the order, the girl changed her mind, but the order
couldn't be stopped. When the pants did come in, according to her mom, the girls cornered
the teen and "made her cry." That was the extend of the hazing.
Portland
Trail Blazers in Trouble Again? The NBA's most, uh, "colorful"
team--the Portland Trail Blazers--is in the news again, and not for their
ability on the court. Portland cops are investigating a brawl in the parking lot
of a--you guessed it!--local strip club that involved Trail Blazers players Darius Miles and Qyntel Woods.
A 911 call at 2:25 a.m. said that 10 to 15 people were fighting in the parking lot and that "people were trying to run over others" with their cars.

Former
Alabama Football Coach Mike Price Sues School President
- Former Alabama head football coach Mike Price has sued school president Robert Witt, claiming Witt's actions led to his dismissal after a trip to a
Florida strip club last summer. Among other things, it accuses Witt of fraud and misrepresentation.
Do
Politics and Steroids Mix? Look out MLB Player's Union: Congress is
looking down its nose and you and doesn't like those bulging muscles in your
neck one bit. The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee accused the union of not responding as quickly as owners to calls for tougher steroid testing.
Said Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, ''I don't think that the players' union has gotten the message, but they're getting
it. 'If somebody keels over dead because of an overdose, it doesn't do the players any good, because dead players don't pay union dues.''
While the League wants to put a drug testing policy in place similar to the one for players with minor league
contracts, the players' association has failed to respond.
Florida
HS Jocks Arrested - A star baseball player and two varsity football
players from Plant High School in Tampa were arrested after being accused of having sex with a 14-year-old freshman girl
as part of the school's Homecoming festivities last September. No word on which
class had the best float this year.
Bad
Taste? Denver store hawks furniture from Kobe Bryant case hotel room.
Showdown:
Kobe Bryant's Accuser Will Face Him in Court Wednesday
And
Yet Another Reason Soccer Sucks - An Italian soccer match in Rome had to
be called off as fans attacked and inured more than 150 police officers because
someone started a rumor that the cops had killed a boy outside the stadium. Of
course, it never happened, but that didn't seem to stop the rioting fans.
HS Coach Sex Scandals Getting Costly for
Districts - Did we see this coming or not? School
districts have shelled out MILLIONS in previous settlements over molestation suits, records show.
#72! Youth baseball coach arrested after team sleepover at this house for
taking pictures of young boy as he changed clothes in the bathroom, and inappropriately
touching him while he was sleeping. (Thanks to Brent Lovet for the link!)
How
Much is a Swear Word on Television Going For These Days? Houston Rockets point guard Steve Francis
has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for cursing during a halftime television interview and for criticizing officials.
California
HS Hazing Incident - Three boys from the Granite Bay High School volleyball team
near Sacramento have been suspended from school over a hazing incident in which
teammates were forced to drink urine.
It's
Cheerleading Tryout Season, So You Know That Gonna Mean Lawsuits! The parents
of five junior varsity cheerleaders plan to sue the school after their daughters
didn't make next year's varsity squad. Now, before you dismiss this as another
case of the legal system overrunning HS sports, you should know that all five
girls had one thing in common: they publicly supported the outgoing cheerleading
coach. After they stupidly did that, the school's principal (who wanted the old
coach out) selected the judges for next year's squad and--SURPRISE--guess who
didn't make the team? Ah, to be young and litigious!
Hockey
Parents Brawl in Stands as 9 & 10-Year-Old Players Watch and Cry -
In what sounds like one of the worst brawls in upstate NY youth hockey history,
eight parents were arrested, and one man was treated at hospital after melee
broke out between rival fans. Apparently one loving mother started yelling at
the refs, and an opposing mom told her off. The two started going at each other
when one of their husbands steps in. Eventually dozens of people get involved
and eventually one guy is thrown off the bleachers. (Thanks to Scott for the
link!)
BadCoach
Update - Tanda Rucker, a former Berkeley High School basketball standout and once one of the most highly touted prep players in the nation, pleaded not guilty
to a raft of unlawful sex charges involving three teen-age girls she met while coaching basketball at Encinal High School.
Rucker had earlier been named in a lawsuit against the HS that called her a
sexual predator and suggested she involved the girls in numerous lesbian sex
games.
Mascot
Madness! Paws, the mascot for an Australian soccer team named the Penrith Panthers,
is being accused of fraud for taking taking more than $60,000 from the
government because he claimed he was disabled. 35-year-old Brian James Davis
still has a job with the team, but will no longer wear the costume because,
according to a spokesman, "Paws is held up as a role model to children, we do not think it appropriate he continue as our
mascot."
NBA
Team Fires Perky Teen Cheerleader Over Topless Web Photos - Those
bastards! The Toronto Raptors have fired cheerleader Lucie Marshal for posting
nude photos of herself on a website . . . a move that has angered American
basketball fans but will probably result in a lot more hits to her site after
this story gets out. The perky nineteen-year-old red headed Canadian dancer
(pictured at right) was hired for the Raptors Dance Pak just this season, but has been featured on the soft-core porn site
www.lindseymarshal.ca since April,
2002. Why did it take them all season to find these photos? (Story link above is
safe for work, link to website contains not safe for work images.) Thanks to Fark.com

Super Bowl Related Nudity: Topless Teacher in Trouble With Townsfolk - Janet Jackson wasn't the only one showing
off her breasts during February's big game: a Florida fourth-grade teacher, Stacey
Cherry (pictured at right),
now admits she had a little too much to drink that night and pulled up her shirt
when urged on by fellow partygoers. "Plain and simple, two in the morning and the Bud-Bowl beads were being passed around and everyone was teasing me,
'You gotta show your boobs, you gotta show something,'"
She did and someone snapped a photograph which was posted on a "private
website" but later this image was circulated to the delight of the entire school board.
She's since been removed from the classroom.
