Interrupted by Rant From Betrayed Wife - Could there be a better time to call your
cheating husband on the carpet than in front of hundreds of millions of TV
viewers during a broadcast that was supposed to launch the coverage 2008 Beijing
Olympics? Apparently not for Hu Ziwei, wife of popular sportscaster Zhang Bin,
who hijacked the Olympics news conference to denounce her husband for infidelity
saying, "Just two hours ago I found out that Mr. Zhang Bin is having an
illicit relationship with a woman other than me." Uh, oh. Officials quickly jumped
into silence her, but not before practically everyone in China saw the
revelation . . . and those that didn't could watch it later on YouTube (see

Roger Clemens Goes on Offensive Against Steroid Charges: Tapes Profanity Laden Phone Conversation With Former Trainer, Offers to Take Polygraph Test: "I Could Give a Rat's Ass About the Hall of Fame!" - MLB star Roger Clemens is coming out full force against charges in the Mitchell Report that his former trainer, Brian McNamee, injected him with steroids, even secretly taping an angry phone call between the two last Friday. Clemens also boasts that if called before Congress he will answer any questions put before him. And yet, if you watch the video of this heated press conference on Monday, it's hard not to come away thinking that there is still some part of the story that is not being told. When asked if he would call those who took steroids cheaters (including buddy Andy Petite) Clemens dodged the question and basically dismissed the fact that steroids would improve a player's performance. Texas Girls Youth Wrestling Coach Given 10 Years in Prison for Molesting Teens on Bus Trip New Reader Hate Mail: Dazed and Confused - At BadJocks, we strive to bring you the latest sports crime stories . . . but we also want to get the story right and will ALWAYS make corrections if factual errors are pointed out to us. Occasionally, we can't make heads or tails of some read hate mail, but usually when we ask for clarification, we get it . . . but apparently not this time.
We thought Courtney might be referring to this story back in November about a coach in Georgia named Jeff Robinson who allegedly made his own son eat a bunch of jalapeno peppers as a punishment for giving the dog one, then added insult to injury by--according to the cops--making the kid wash it down with jalapeno pepper juice. But we wanted to make sure (and also wanted to mess with her pea brain a little bit) and wrote back:
That was about a month ago, and we thought that was the end of it, until this email arrived today, also from Ms. Courtney Robinson:
Apparently not, but I will share your emails with the world Courtney. #8!

a communication facility and criminal solicitation. (KDKA

Roger Clemens Steroid Accusations Update: "I'll Sue Your Ass for Poking Mine!" - Well, that didn't take long. On the same day that he appeared on CBS News 60 Minutes to claim he was injected with nothing more than lidocaine and vitamin B-12, pitching ace Roger Clemens filed a defamation suit against his former trainer Brian McNamee. McNamee, of course, was the main source of accusations of steroid use against Clemens in the recent Mitchell Report on steroids in baseball, who has denied ever taking performance enhancing substances. As far as the lidocaine statement, McNamee's lawyer said, "Brian has a master's degree in sports medicine. He knows the difference between testosterone and B-12 and lidocaine. What he injected into Roger Clemens was not lidocaine or B-12. It was testosterone." (USA Today)
#6! Volunteer Wrestling Coach Caught in Bed With Underage Boy During Family Christmas Party - Was he being naughty or nice? That will be for the judge to decide, but Timothy J. Steimel, a volunteer wrestling coach at Waukesha West High School, was charged over the holidays with a count of first-degree sexual assault of a child and a count of sexually assaulting a child under 16. Mom Files Lawsuit Against Male HS Coach, Claims He Kicker Her 17-Year-Old Son in the Mouth . . . While the Boy Slept on the Floor at a Female Coach's House? - We suspect the courts will have a fun time sorting this one out. It seems that a 17-year-old HS boy from Big Spring, Texas was--for some, as yet, unknown reason--asleep on the floor of a female coach's house. He woke up to find a male coach from the district's junior high standing over him. At that point, the mom's lawsuit claims, the coach started yelling and screaming at the boy and eventually kicked him in the mouth. Initially the boy told his parents that a TV fell on his face (good one!) but later recanted and told the truth . . . at which point his mommy filed a lawsuit against the coach, Derek Workman. What nobody seems to be asking is why was an underage boy sleeping on the floor at a female coach's house? (Big Spring Herald) #4! HS Girls Basketball Coach, Who Moved Into Basement of Player's Home After Having Marital Problems, Accused of Having Sex With Girl (Today's TMJ4) #3! Las Vegas HS Track Coach Accused of Knocking Up Teen (Sign on San Diego) #2! UK Gym Teacher/Coach Accused of Operating Illegal Immigrant Prostitution Sting . . . Along With His Wife! (BBC News) First HS Coach Sex Scandal of 2008! - Male coach at field hockey academy accused of sex with three underage players, two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old. Cops say say they found numerous photos of girls on his laptop computer, digital camera, and his cell phone and are trying to identify the people in those pictures. (News 10 Now) Say What? HS Volleyball Player Sues School District After Coach Allegedly Offers Her Beer at Restaurant - This story is kind of strange, but let's see if we can simplify it: Brittany Grayson, 15, a female volleyball player at Kalamazoo Central High School, claims she was in a local restaurant last February when her coach, Kilee Goetz, offered her a beer . . . although it's not clear if she got it or drank it. Nothing else happened until fall of 2007 when Grayson then claims that she was approached by the school's Athletic Director, Van Dickerson, in October and that he "confronted her about the alleged Feb. 6, 2006, incident as well as a recent allegation from Ms. Goetz that Brittany was found in a place where alcohol was being consumed.'' Okay. The lawsuit goes on to say that Dickerson told her that as long as she didn't talk about either incident, she wouldn't have to miss any of her volleyball or basketball season. Of course, everyone at the school denies the claims, so this one will likely be settled in the courtroom. (M Live)
Bowl Season Dumbass? Oklahoma DT Arrested for Shoplifting at Arizona Mall - DeMarcus Granger is a 300 lb defensive tackle for the University of Oklahoma and was in Tempe, Arizona area this week to play in the Fiesta Bowl against West Virginia. WAS going to platy, that is, until he allegedly decided he need a coat from a store at the Arizona Mills shopping center and reportedly removed the security device from it, placed it in a bag and tried to walk out. He didn't make it, and now the Sooners will be one starter short for the big game tonight. (KPHO) Is Tony Parker "Affair" Claim a Hoax? Playboy Editor Digs Into His Files to Uncover the Truth Behind the Story - Everyone wants to believe that Mr. Eva Longoria is cheating on his new bride . . . but has anyone else in the media bothered to dig into the identity of the accuser? Does this "Alexandra Parressant" even exist and if so, why was she making similar unsubstantiated accusations about soccer star Ronaldinho after the 2006 World Cup? In fact, according to the site CeleBitchy.com, "Dana Kennedy at The Huffington Post investigated the story and concluded that all of Parressant’s claims about both Parker and Ronaldinho were fabricated. In fact she found that many of the photos on X17 were of German model Hana Nitsche, a second runner up on Germany’s Next Top Model’s second season." (Playboy.com - slightly not safe for work images and ads.) Not This Sh*t Again? Madison Square Garden Settles Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Brought by Rangers Cheerleader - First off: yes, pro hockey teams do have cheerleaders, but usually they wear skates and are called something else. In this case, the girls who cheered for the NY Rangers were called the Ranger City Skaters . . . but apparently the title change didn't keep members of management from treating them like naughty cheerleaders. One of those who use to be on the squad, Courtney Prince, had filed a lawsuit claiming--among other things--that MSG top brass had grilled her about "the skaters' sexual habits, ordered skaters to stuff their bras and lose weight and bought booze for underage cheerleaders." MSG was fighting the lawsuit and at one point even tried to smear Ms. Prince by claiming SHE was the one who was overly sexual and may have also been bipolar. That is, until they had to pay $11.5 million to settle a suit by former Knicks exec Anucha Browne Sanders, against head coach Isiah Thomas. (NY Daily News) |
