MORE STORIES AFTER THIS WORD FROM OUR SPONSORS Celtics Guard Faces Felony Assault Charges After Restaurant Brawl That Ended in Shooting - According to witnesses, moments before Marktwain Johnson was shot outside a Chicago restaurant Boston Celtics guard Tony Allen tapped the shooter (allegedly was a member of Allen's entourage) on the chest and said, "F--- him up," referring to Johnson. Allen has now been charged with aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony punishable by probation or up to five years in prison. (Sun Times) BadJocks Update: Youth Hockey Coach Who Taught Players to Fight Could Face Chargers - Despite the fact that a number of people have written to me since we reported this story earlier this week (see below) to tell me that youth hockey coaches "have to teach players to fight or they'll get hurt during a game," the Michigan State Police apparently think otherwise. According to reports in the Lansing State Journal, the MSP became involved after the mother of one of the young brawlers filed a formal complaint after her son's coach allegedly "ordered his players to go at each other with bare knuckles at an Oct. 11 practice session." According to the county prosecutor, a coach who encourages minors to engage in assault - even at hockey practice - could face misdemeanor charges. (State Journal)

Scandal Day 14 BadJocks Update: Pro Wrestler "Hardbody" Harrison Arrested, Allegedly Forced Women Into Prostitution - Not sure how long it's been since Norris "Hardbody" Harrison Jr., was a star in the WCW, but his next performance could be fighting off fellow prisoners in a real life cage match. A federal grand jury in Atlanta indicted Harrison, and several other men, on charges they forced women into prostitution. Prosecutors claim the men used force, fraud, and intimidation to recruit women to work as prostitutes and either recruited them through physical force, or by offering to train them as wrestlers. Instead of appearing in Wrestlemania however, the women were then forced to perform commercial sex acts. (First Coast News) Thanks to Andy in San Diego for the tip! Youth Football Coach Accused of Shooting Man Who Wouldn't Let Boy Play Football - This one gets a little complicated: the boyfriend of a woman who's 12-year-old son was the star running back on a youth football team in Montgomery, Alabama pulled him from the squad after he failed to complete some chores. The boyfriend, Timothy Campbell, 32, was at home when the as-yet-unidentified YMCA coach arrived at his home to try and get the boy back on the team. Instead, he and Campbell got into an argument for some reason the coach thought it would help if he shot the guy in the back. It didn't. Police are now looking for the coach who could be charged with attempted murder. (USA Today) HS Coach Sex Scandal #150 on the Year! We're far behind 2004's record pace (247 total) but seem to be catching up! #150 is Scott Copperville, 35, who teaches math and is the cross country coach at Robinsville High in Washington Township, PA who's facing serious allegations of sexual impropriety. Authorities say a tipster claimed Cooperville had engaged in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old girl at the school. (6ABC) College Football Hazing Update: McGill
University Cancels Football Season Because of Dr. Broom! The Good News? Apparently the hazing
incident involving "Dr. Broom" at this Canadian college did NOT
involve sodomy as earlier reported. The Bad News? The schools own investigation
shows that "the event did involve nudity, degrading positions and behaviors,
gagging, touching in inappropriate manners with a broomstick, as well as verbal
and physical intimidation of rookies." In the end, McGill's Administration
took a tough stand and cancelled the rest of the football season. (TSN)

. . But No Answers . . . Yet Thanks to CNBC’s “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" for having me on Tuesday night to talk about the Vikings Scandal. (And yes, I think I could have blinked a few more times if I had tried harder. - Bob Reno) Youth Hockey Fighting "Practice" Update - Yesterday we brought you a story from BadJocks own backyard about a youth hockey coach forcing his kids to fight each other in practice. The original columnist for this story, John Schneider from the Lansing State Journal, got a lot of feedback on it . . . both for and against this kind thing. Huh? you say. Yep, some parents actually think that teaching young hockey players to fight is for their own good with one father adding, "It's a way to get the kids to the next level." On the other hand, some parents of players on the team in question knew what was going on but their sons begged them not to file a complaint, even though one of them had several lose teeth from it. Why? Apparently, if you complain about a coach, you're done. Almost sounds like hazing, doesn't it? Allegedly the coach involved has been suspended but couldn't he also face child endangerment charges? (Lansing State Journal) Dentists Report Huge Increase in Business as Youth Hockey Coach Has Boys Practice Brawling: Bloody Chiclets for Everyone! - Screw old time hockey! We want to see fighting at games, even among little kids, right? According to Bob McClean, a former Lansing police officer, he was watching a game involving his 6-year-old grandson when he looked over at an adjoining rink and saw what appeared to be a fight breaking out during a pick-up hockey game among some teenaged boys . . . only there were two coaches standing off to one side just watching the action. After one boy put his opponent in a headlock and repeatedly hit him in the face until the dropped to the ice, the coaches calmly called over two more boys who promptly dropped their gear and also began brawling . . . as if the whole thing was part of some "Hockey Fight 101" drill. McClean watched in horror as at least four more of these fights took place and by the time it was all over he, ". . . saw a number of kids injured and saw blood on the ice." (What, no teeth? Amateurs!) McClean doesn't know the name of the coach, but did complain to the rink's manager who said it was "being handled." Somewhere, the Hanson Brothers are smiling as they tape aluminum foil to their fists before a game. (Lansing State Journal) Vikings Sex Scandal Day 12 More Trouble for Vikings: This Time It's on Dry Land - Remember Onterrio "Whizzinator" Smith? Well the suspended Vikings has new problems to worry about after a woman filed a civil lawsuit against him in which she claims he sexually assaulted her in an Eden Prairie apartment on June 4, 2004. Sex Scandal Day 11 Student Faces Charges After Buzzing Homecoming Game in Airplane - What says homecoming fun more than having a small aircraft barreling at the stands in the middle of the game? I can't think of anything . . . and apparently neither could 16-year-old Wisconsin boy who, along with another young passenger, flew low over Beell Stadium in Marshfield during the September 30 game between Marshfield and Rhinelander high schools. The ensuing panic resulted in several 911 calls to police about the low-flying aircraft and I'm sure concerns about terrorist threats. Turns out it was just a couple of teens, one of whom just got his license and had recently started working at a nearby airport where he just happened to have access to several planes. In his defense, the boy claims he never intended to scare players or fans, only to "add to the fun of the Homecoming game." (Duluth Superior) From Our "What the Hell?" Files: HS Boy Makes School Dance Team, Wants Them to Change Feminine Sounding Name of Squad - Boys on high school cheerleading teams are rare, and members of the school dance teams even fewer, but they're still out there. One example: 15-year-old Galen Smith who tried out for, and made, the Choctawhatchee High School's (Florida) dance team. However, after making the squad he asked them to change the name, insisting he wouldn't dance for a group known as the Indianettes. The school, whose official mascot is the Indians, says it will keep the name and Mr. Smith can take his dancing shoes elsewhere. (Tallahassee Democrat) #149! According to police, Albert Michael Andrew, 34, a former part-time track coach at Tappan Zee High School in New York is accused of inappropriately touching several male students on the team during an 18-month period. Andrews was charged last week with endangering the welfare of a minor and five counts of third-degree sexual abuse, all misdemeanors. New Zealand Rugby Fans Celebrate Rare Win Over Australia With Post-Game Riot - So much for the "gentle people of New Zealand!" After the Kiwi's defeated Australia on the Kangaroo's home turn for the first time in almost 50 years, the team and about 100 visiting fans wanted to celebrate. One female fan wanted to celebrate so badly, she punched a female cop in the face and got maced for her efforts. (TVNZ) Vikings
