Brawl Breaks Out at Mike Tyson Event in the UK - Trouble still seems to follow Iron Mike, even after his boxing days are over. At an event to promote appearances in the United Kingdom, a brawl involving more than 20 broke out at the Heritage Hotel in Derby, and at least one person was hit over the head with a champange bottle as chairs were hurled, tables tipped over, glasses smashed and punches thrown. Fortunately, Mike had already left the event when the brawl broke out. A man who's last name is Wie and is technically related to golf phenom Michelle Wie, but does not represent her, was arrested this week after telling investors that, “a ‘Michelle Wie golf course’ will be constructed in her hometown of Jangheung, Jeonnam, and we will build a shoe sterilizing factory there, which will give a 940 percent rate of return in just four months.” Why a golf course AND a shoe sterilizing factory? Mr. Wie only knows, but after conning investors for more than a year(?), his ruse was finally uncovered after he started handing out fliers with his picture next to Michelle's . . . and my guess was it was poorly PhotoShopped. Boy Says Junior High Football Coach Hit Him for Not Lining Up Correctly for Team Phone - Sometimes, a coach has to get a little physical to get a players attention . . . just ask Bobby Knight. But hitting a kid for not lining up properly for a team picture? If true, that seems a bit extreme, but that's what Wayne Berg says happened to his sone Nicholas this season after he made the football team at Maple Grove Junior High School in Minnesota, Berg knew his son was proud to have made the team, and couldn't understand why he looked so unhappy in his picture . . . then the boy told him the as-yet-unnamed coach hit him in the head for not getting into the proper position for the team picture, The coach is still at work as a teacher at the school as the district claims to be "investigating the incident," but Mr. Berg is considering having charges filed against him for the alleged incident. HS Coach Sex Scandal #137 Update: Female Coach Arrested on Charges Involving Female Player - Kathleen O'Brien Erickson, 22, a former Tigard High School coach is facing criminal charges of sexual abuse, sodomy and giving alcohol to a teenage girl she once coached. Erickson was indicted on two counts of third-degree sodomy,10 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor -- who was 15 at the time. (Oregon Live)

27, the wrestling coach/teacher at Archbishop Bergan Catholic High School in
Nebraska was arrested last week on a sexual assault charge involving a
ninth-grade girl. According to the police report,
the 14-year-old said Wilhelm first
began e-mailing her in October and that the contents of the messages “became
sexual in nature.” On Oct. 29, Wilhelm allegedly touched the girl's hinder and
tried to kiss her in a secluded hallway at Bergan. (Fremont

So we can understand how a copy editor at the The News-Times in Connecticut might have gotten a little crazy over the weekend when he posted a caption to the paper's online edition that wrongly (we assume) indicated that the Immaculate High School girls' team was celebrating a goal scored in a championship-clinching win instead of celebrating a teammate's decision to "come out of the closet as a lesbian." The News Time apologized for this error and fired a copy editor who didn't realize it was going out live. "It was a flagrant, awful violation of every journalistic principle," said Paul Steinmetz, the paper's editor. "It's just embarrassing to us and untenable." (Courant)

- Sure. Channel 8 out of Tampa is reporting that the brunette TopCat involved in
last weekend's scandal, Angela Keathley, "was crying over an ex-boyfriend - not
having sex with her teammate (blonde Renee Thomas) - when a fracas erupted over
the women sharing a stall." So she was just "comforting" her, NOT having
drunken, kinky lesbian bathroom sex?
Keathley, 26, of Charlotte, N.C., released the statement through
Tampa attorney "She just wanted to make clear there was no sex."
Also, earlier in the week, blonde Renee Thomas denied any lesbian sex between
the two cheerleaders through her attorney as well. (National

Their Ears! Well, chalk one up for the CSI folks:

Sutton a former coach at the Troup, Texas ISD is accused of sexual assault and
improper relationship between an educator and student. How did get caught?
Sutton was charged after two underage girls who accused him of sexually
assaulting them (apparently he was licking and kissing them) subjected to DNA
tests which found that samples taken in the ear and on the cheek of one of the
alleged victims matches that of Sutton. The chances of it NOT being Sutton?
Apparently 1 in 96 BILLION. (
