BadJocks Stories From the Week of December 18, 2005

"Best $27 I Ever Spent" - Woman claims that the Idiot Proof Diet helped her lose over 50 lbs, got rid of her heart burn, and cleared up problems with her gallbladder. Read her amazing story here.

MORE STORIES AFTER THIS WORD FROM OUR SPONSORS

Former Female Golfer at UCLA Releases Nudie Calendar Again This Year - It was such a hit last year that Sophie Sandolo, an Italian native who played golf for the Bruins while in college, has published a racy calendar for 2006 featuring her in a number of nude and semi-nude poses. Sandolo, who plays on the European Women's Tour, told our friends at the UK tabloid, The Sun, "I'm delighted to present to all my fans my new calendar. I could not resist - the 2005 calendar brought me so much luck that I could not start the 2006 season without repeating the experience." The Sun has a "not safe for work" slideshow of Sophie with some of the top pictures from the 05 and 06 calendars here. Unfortunately, it appears that the link from The Sun has crashed poor Sophie's website here, but you can find other pictures of her in action here. (At right, a picture we've entitled "Honey, Have You Seen My 9 Iron . . . Oh, Never Mind!")
BONUS: Yesterday, we wondered why there was a sudden surge interest in a story we ran last April about Leah Siwinski, a masseuse for a minor league baseball team who was allegedly fired for being "too sexy" and distracting the players. Turns out that ESPN's Page Two has run their annual "Sex in Sports" article.

New HS Hazing Incident: "Sexual Prank" on Bus Leads to Suspension of Three Wrestlers - What exactly is a "sexual prank" you ask? We have several ideas--none of them printable here--but the folks at Argo Community High School in Illinois aren't giving their definition when they announced this week that three of their senior wrestlers will be serving 10-day suspensions for an alleged hazing on a team bus. According to the school, the incident against several freshman team members took place on Dec. 1 during the 15-mile trip back from a dual meet at Bremen High School. Whatever these guys did, it would have been hard to keep it a secret for long with three paid coaches, one volunteer coach and about 45 students on the bus at the time. (Chicago Sun Times) Thanks to good buddy Our Good Friend for another great link!

Update on HS Coach Sex Scandal #55: Worst Case of Double Standard We've Ever Seen - Former Coach Gets 15 Years for Sex With 17-Year-Old Girl - Here's our original report on Craig DeBiase, 43, a former coach at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Denver who assured his victim that they were "practically married." (Then why did they have sex almost 20 times?) He plead guilty to only one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and in exchange six other counts of sexual assault on a child were dismissed. So it's likely that DeBiase was surprised this week when Denver District Court Judge Herbert Stern sentenced him to 15 years in prison and told the standing-room-only crowd that he felt he "needed to send a message about the public trust that teachers and coaches have in caring for young people." (Denver Channel) Anyone still think there's NOT a double standard when it comes to male and female sexual predators? Granted, DeBiase's no saint here, but Sandra Beth Geisel--a teacher who had sex with three underage boys, but claimed to have a drinking problem--was sentenced to only 6 months in jail, while our favorite hot blonde gym teacher, Pamela Rogers Turner, got a grand total of 270 days for sex with a 13-year-old boy.

You Little Bastards! 24 Golf Carts Ruined--Ruined I Tell Ya!--When Teens "Play Chicken" With Them After Hours - Oh the humanity! Why is it always our innocent electric sports helpers that get hurt? Five Texas teens were arrested this week for causing thousands of dollars in damage at Meadowlake Golf Course earlier this year. According to the Caddo Sheriff's Office, the teens snuck onto the course after midnight on September 29 and used the carts to play chicken. Carts were crashed into each other, into trees and tee markers, and a few were even driven into a lake. According to police, when the carnage was all over, more than $20,000 in damage was caused, with the boys successfully damaging 24 golf carts and two battery chargers. (KTAL)

#175! Girl-On-Girl Action: Former Softball Coach Caught Kissing Girl at School - Administrators at Newark High School thought something was wrong when Jessica M. Spain, 26, a former softball coach at the school came onto campus and didn't sign in as all visitors are required to do. Police were called and after arriving an officer witnessed Spain kissing a 16-year-old girl in the back parking lot according to court records. The questioned both gals and found out that sexual conduct between the two allegedly took place between Aug. 1 and Oct. 5, when the girl was 15 years old. Under questioning, Spain allegedly admitted to the crime, a third-degree felony, and then added that she was the girl’s softball coach last season. (Newark Advocate) Thanks to Mark Matson for the link!

Dumbass of the Week? Nazi Salute Gets Italian Soccer Suspended - There are probably lots of ways for professional athletes to acknowledge their fans: in baseball, you step out of the dugout and tip your cap; in golf you an wave or maybe through a golf ball or caddie into the gallery. In soccer? Well, it appears that one thing you DON'T want to do is give them the ol' "Heil Hitler" salute, especially in a country like Italy where fascists once ruled, but that didn't stop Paolo Di Canio who plays for Lazio. Di Canio, who claims he meant nothing political with the gesture, has been banned for one game and fined 10,000 euros ($12,000) for making the infamous raised-arm salute in a match during a 2-1 loss at Livorno on Dec. 11. As you might expect, league and team officials are quickly distancing themselves from the gesture. Least you think this was an honest mistake on the 37-year-old's part: Di Canio also made the salute at the end of Lazio's 3-1 win over city rivals AS Roma back in January of 2005. Oops. (Reuters)

#174! HS Coach Sex Scandal Could Cost Tennessee School District $14 Million! (BadJocks has predicted for some time that this would be the next phase in the evolution of the disturbing trend of High School Coach Sex Scandals: school districts being sued for failing to stop lecherous coaches.) How much would it be worth to you if you thought that the school you attended ignored your complaints that an assistant coach groped and fondled you on an almost daily basis for most of three full school years? Well, a young woman who is now an adult but used to attend Volunteer High School in Kingsport, Tennessee has filed a $14 million federal lawsuit against the County Board of Education claiming assistant coach (and Surgoinsville Alderman) Sam Anderson groped and fondled her when she was a student. According to the victim, Anderson propositioned her for sexual favors by fondling and groping her, licking her ear, and kissing her, but kept her from reporting these acts by threatening to kill her or ruin her life if she told anyone. The lawsuit also claims that the coach's advances occurred on an almost daily basis during those school years as he regularly patted, touched or slapped her buttocks as frequently as 15 times a week and that during her junior year in October 2003, Anderson grabbed her by her neck, kissed her and fondled her breasts. The lawsuit also claims that another female student also reported Anderson made inappropriate advances to her, but that the school only made a "superficial" attempt to investigate actions that were allegedly well known throughout the school. The woman is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages and $9 million in punitive damages. (Kingsport Times-News)

#173! Coach Gets 10 Years in Jail for Using "Psychological Manipulation" to Trick Underage Girl Into Having Sex With Him (Akron Beacon Journal)

Cops Use Pepper Spray to Clear "Mouthy" Fans From Gym During HS Basketball Game: School May Ban ALL Spectators for Next Month as a Result - The game between Sto-Rox and Quaker Valley in the Pittsburgh area started out like most high school basketball games: the lead changed hands, players made some great shots, missed a few easy ones and fans on both sides cheered on their boys. Until, that is, late in the game with Quaker Valley leading by eight points, two Sto-Rox supporters began exchanging pleasantries with an opposing fan. Gym security quickly moved in and the QV quickly quieted down, but the two Sto-Rox fans wouldn't shut up so police tried to eject them. We say "tried" because almost as quickly as they left, one of the men returned to the gym and started causing more trouble, so the cops decided to clear the gym before there was an incident. Too late! After stopping the game and making the players sit on the bench, cops attempted to get all the fans to leave and when some of the dawdled in the lobby, officers whipped out the pepper spray on them. As a result, Sto-Rox administrators probably will likely bar all spectators from home basketball games for at least the next month. (Post Gazette)
BONUS: HS basketball game in Rochester, NY Canceled at halftime as brawl breaks out on court between fans and cops have to use pepper spray to break it up.

"Not Guilty" Plea Entered in NFL Cheerleader Bar Fight Over Lesbian Sex Case - Renee Thomas, 20, a former cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers, pleaded not guilty to three charges after she and another cheerleader were arrested at a Tampa nightclub. Those charges included giving a false name to a police officer, battery and unlawful display of a license. (The "giving a false name" charge is a felony.) As you probably recall the charges relate to a Nov. 6 incident when Thomas and Angela Keathley, 26, for a fight outside a bathroom at a Tampa bar. According to witnesses at the time, the gal pals were in the bathroom an extraordinary length time and appeared to be enjoying each other sexually while other female bar patrons held their beer. After exiting the can, Thomas allegedly punched a female bar patron who gave her crap for being in there so long. A civil lawsuit has been filed in that case. (Fox Sports)

LOVE BOAT CHARGES UPDATE: Culpepper Says "I Will Be Vindicated" - Disgraced Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Duante Culpepper angrily denied charges of lewd and lascivious behavior made against him yesterday (see below) adding, "I look forward to meeting my accusers in a court of law so they can be confronted with this lie. In the end, the truth will come out and I will be vindicated … I didn't touch anybody and nobody touched me." Meanwhile, Coach Mike Tice says no action against his players until someone is convicted because right now the charges are just accusations, but a spokesperson for owner Zygi Wilf, who once promised tough action against anyone found to have done anything wrong, claimed that, "Zygi made it very clear early on in this investigation, he will take whatever actions, penalties, suspensions, fines or whatever, based upon what he feels is necessary." But this is where the rubber meets the road, isn't it Zygi? Besides criminal charges, all four players could face discipline from the NFL, based on the league's personal conduct policy. A player who engages in criminal activity is subject to counseling, a fine of a week's pay and four weeks' suspension. (St. Paul Pioneer Press)
BREAKING NEWS: Four Vikings Charged With Misdemeanors Related to "Love Boat" Incident
- Misdemeanors? What the hell happened to violating the Federal Mann Act about bringing women across state lines for immoral purposes? According to U.S. Attorney Thomas Heffelfinger, there was "insufficient evidence" to file federal charges. Translation: The Feds couldn't prove anything because the hookers and strippers kept their mouths shut . . . which--not surprisingly--you usually have to pay extra for, and we wouldn't be surprised if someone did. Anyway, while the four Vikes (pictured at right, starting at the top left and going clockwise: injured quarterback Daunte Culpepper, Moe Williams, Bryant McKinnie and Fred "I'll Sue Somebody" Smoot) were only charged with misdemeanors, the descriptions of what they where charged with make for some interesting reading . . . especially for their wives and/or girlfriends. (Other publications might be a little bit squeamish about giving the details . . . but not at BadJocks!) Our good friends at TheSmokingGun got their hands on the actual criminal complaint that charges each one:
Daunte Culpepper
: Indecent conduct, disorderly conduct, and lewd or lascivious conduct for allegedly getting a lap dance from a naked woman and putting his hands on her naked behind.
Fred Smoot:
Indecent conduct, disorderly conduct, and lewd or lascivious conduct for allegedly holding a double-headed dildo (click here if you really need to see what one looks like, probably not safe for work) and inserting it into the vaginas for two women who were  laying on the floor in the lounge area. After one woman left he continued to "manipulate the dildo" inside the other woman in front of the young crew.
Bryant McKinnie
: Indecent conduct, disorderly conduct, and lewd or lascivious conduct for allegedly picking up a naked woman, placing her on the bar and performing oral sex on her in front of the crew and other guests. Later that evening McKinnie and three other men were spotted sitting in deck chairs receiving oral sex from four woman, which was also observed by the crew.
And finally, Moe Williams: Indecent conduct, disorderly conduct, and lewd or lascivious conduct for allegedly grabbing the naked breasts of a "dancer" while receiving a lap dance

Banned For Life: Football Coach Who Moved Down Marker to Help Team Will Never Coach Again - The California Interscholastic Federation announced Thursday that Paul Bryan, a 23-year assistant coach at San Pedro High School, will be banned for life from coaching after videotaped evidence showed he improperly moving a marker to help his team gain a first down on a critical fourth-down play late in an Oct. 28 game against rival Gardena High.
