New HS Hazing Incident: "Sexual Prank" on Bus Leads to Suspension of Three Wrestlers - What exactly is a "sexual prank" you ask? We have several ideas--none of them printable here--but the folks at Argo Community High School in Illinois aren't giving their definition when they announced this week that three of their senior wrestlers will be serving 10-day suspensions for an alleged hazing on a team bus. According to the school, the incident against several freshman team members took place on Dec. 1 during the 15-mile trip back from a dual meet at Bremen High School. Whatever these guys did, it would have been hard to keep it a secret for long with three paid coaches, one volunteer coach and about 45 students on the bus at the time. Why is it always our innocent electric sports helpers that get hurt? Five Texas teens were arrested this week for causing thousands of dollars in damage at Meadowlake Golf Course earlier this year. According to the Caddo Sheriff's Office, the teens snuck onto the course after midnight on September 29 and used the carts to play chicken. Carts were crashed into each other, into trees and tee markers, and a few were even driven into a lake. According to police, when the carnage was all over, more than $20,000 in damage was caused, with the boys successfully damaging 24 golf carts and two battery chargers. (KTAL) #175! #174! HS Coach Sex Scandal Could Cost Tennessee School District $14 Million! (BadJocks has predicted for some time that this would be the next phase in the evolution of the disturbing trend of High School Coach Sex Scandals: school districts being sued for failing to stop lecherous coaches.) How much would it be worth to you if you thought that the school you attended ignored your complaints that an assistant coach groped and fondled you on an almost daily basis for most of three full school years? Well, a young woman who is now an adult but used to attend Volunteer High School in Kingsport, Tennessee has filed a $14 million federal lawsuit against the County Board of Education claiming assistant coach (and Surgoinsville Alderman) Sam Anderson groped and fondled her when she was a student. According to the victim, Anderson propositioned her for sexual favors by fondling and groping her, licking her ear, and kissing her, but kept her from reporting these acts by threatening to kill her or ruin her life if she told anyone. The lawsuit also claims that the coach's advances occurred on an almost daily basis during those school years as he regularly patted, touched or slapped her buttocks as frequently as 15 times a week and that during her junior year in October 2003, Anderson grabbed her by her neck, kissed her and fondled her breasts. The lawsuit also claims that another female student also reported Anderson made inappropriate advances to her, but that the school only made a "superficial" attempt to investigate actions that were allegedly well known throughout the school. The woman is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages and $9 million in punitive damages. (Kingsport Times-News) #173! Coach Gets 10 Years in Jail for Using "Psychological Manipulation" to Trick Underage Girl Into Having Sex With Him (Akron Beacon Journal) Cops Use Pepper Spray to Clear "Mouthy" Fans From
Gym During HS Basketball Game: School May Ban ALL Spectators for Next Month as a
Result - The game between Sto-Rox and Quaker Valley in the Pittsburgh area
started out like most high school basketball games: the lead changed hands,
players made some great shots, missed a few easy ones and fans on both sides
cheered on their boys. Until, that is, late in the game with Quaker Valley
leading by eight points, two Sto-Rox supporters began exchanging pleasantries
with an opposing fan. Gym security quickly moved in and the QV quickly quieted
down, but the two Sto-Rox fans wouldn't shut up so police tried to eject them.
We say "tried" because almost as quickly as they left, one of the men
returned to the gym and started causing more trouble, so the cops decided to
clear the gym before there was an incident. Too late! After stopping the game
and making the players sit on the bench, cops attempted to get all the fans to
leave and when some of the dawdled in the lobby, officers whipped out the pepper
spray on them. As a result, Sto-Rox administrators probably will likely bar all
spectators from home basketball games for at least the next month. (Post
Gazette) "Not Guilty" Plea Entered in NFL
Cheerleader Bar Fight Over Lesbian Sex Case - Renee Thomas, 20, a former
cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers, pleaded not guilty to three charges after
she and another cheerleader were arrested at a Tampa nightclub. Those charges
included giving a false name to a police officer, battery and unlawful display
of a license. (The "giving a false name" charge is a felony.) As you
probably recall the charges relate to a Nov. 6 incident when Thomas and Angela
Keathley, 26, for a fight outside a bathroom at a Tampa bar. According to
witnesses at the time, the gal pals were in the bathroom an extraordinary length
time and appeared to be enjoying each other sexually while other female bar
patrons held their beer. After exiting the can, Thomas allegedly punched a
female bar patron who gave her crap for being in there so long. A civil lawsuit
has been filed in that case. (Fox
